Vars is situated in the middle of the high Alps area, approximately 60 kilometers from Briancon. La Foret Blanche Ski Resort has 185 kilometers of ski trails, 112 slopes (17 green, 50 blue, 37 red and 8 black) and 55 ski lifts between 1.650 and 2.750 meters above sea level. For SNOWBOARD lovers, there is 550 m SURFLAND vertical slope, 2 kilometers long.
Facilities in the village: 15 ski equipment shops, various types of shops, 20 restaurants and cafes, 3 pubs, 2 disco clubs, cinema, 2 wellness centers, skating rink.
